Teresa McGorm 

Teresa is currently the Nurse Manager Communicable Diseases/Immunisation at the Darling Downs Public Health Unit in Toowoomba. 


The Public Health Unit is responsible for the surveillance and follow up of notifiable conditions, advice and support on communicable diseases & immunisation to all immunisation service providers across the Darling Downs and South West Hospital and Health Service areas. 


 With over twenty years experience in public health nursing, Teresa has witnessed the routine immunisation schedule increase from four vaccines to about fifteen – including numerous multivalent antigens and now very complex as most will agree. 

Teresa has previously been involved in the delivery of the Immunisation Program Nurse training through the Cunningham Centre as well as the delivery of numerous education sessions to all involved in the provision of immunisation services and is well known for her very informative presentations. Teresa is very knowledgeable and experienced in the area of immunisation and her passion lies in the ability to communicate and provide the best support to all immunisation service providers.
