Nicolette Faquhar 

Nicolette Farquhar is a registered nurse with additional qualifications in Child and Family Health. She has worked predominantly in community services, with a range of Government health services, and private disability providers in remote and metropolitan areas for the past 20 years. She has a passion for person centred and inclusive health care, and is committed to continually learning in this space. Her current role, as a Specialist Intellectual Disability Nurse on the research project Bridge to Better Health, within the Queensland Centre of Excellence in Intellectual Disability and Autism Health aims to improve the health outcomes of people with intellectual disability. Striving to make health checks better for people with intellectual disability, and their supporters, Nicolette is working with GP practices to improve the knowledge and confidence of practice staff to improve the health outcomes for patients with intellectual disability.
