Dr Kate Duffy

Dr Kate Duffy has been working as a GP since 2021 and is currently the clinical lead of the Hospital in the Home team at Toowoomba Hospital. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Queensland in 2016 and then moved to Toowoomba with her partner to continue her training. She completed her advanced rural skills training at Toowoomba Hospital Emergency Department and became a RACGP Rural Generalist in 2024. 

 

Dr Duffy grew up in Canada and completed a Master of Immunology and Microbiology and Master of Forensic Science, prior to moving to Australia to complete medical school. She fell in love with Australia and when she is not at work, you might find Dr Duffy pursuing some of her passions, including hiking, scuba diving and currently, training for her first marathon. 

 

Dr Kate Duffy has ongoing interests in providing comprehensive hospital level care in the community and enjoys working closely with general practitioners to ensure continuity of patient care on hospital discharge.
