Elyse joined Darling Downs Health in 2019 and began her career in Patient Safety within the Clinical Governance team. During this time, she developed a strong foundation in quality improvement and patient safety, supporting initiatives aimed at improving healthcare outcomes. More recently, Elyse transitioned into the role of Connections Support Officer, providing the opportunity to work more closely with primary care and general practice.
In this role, she has developed a strong appreciation for the important link between general practice and hospital-based care. Elyse enjoys supporting collaboration across healthcare settings and seeing the positive impact that integrated care can have on patient experiences and outcomes.
Throughout her career, Elyse has been passionate about contributing to safe, high-quality healthcare and supporting initiatives that strengthen our health system. Elyse says she’s eager to learn and grow and looks forward to continuing to explore how strong partnerships between primary care and hospital services can improve care coordination and deliver the best possible outcomes for patients and our community.
