Chris Cook is an EPP (Emergency Physiotherapy Practitioner) at Ipswich Hospital Emergency Department and the Ripley Minor Injuries and Illness Clinic, and is the Clinical Team Leader for West Moreton. This service runs 365 days a year across both sites.
He is an APA Sports Physiotherapist and APA Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, having completed a dual Masters degree in Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy in 2014.
He has worked across the private and public sectors for 20 years, including Far North Queensland, working as a Clinical Leader under Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons and Neurosurgeons reviewing patients referred to their services (Neurosurgical & Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Screening Clinic).
He worked for four seasons in the United Kingdom at a Premier League club (Academy- Men's & Women's, Women's First Team), and continues to work in elite football in Queensland providing emergency pitch side coverage and sports medicine/rehabilitation.
He will be joined today by Daniel Mullins, an EPP who has worked in West Moreton since 2019. Prior to this Dan was the Senior Physiotherapist in Orthopaedics at Greenslopes Private Hospital. Dan recently presented statewide on an evidence update and technique review regarding closed reduction of upper limb fractures in an Emergency Department setting, and plays an integral role in the training and development of new EPP's within the West Moreton service.
